Dr. Astrid Sánchez Jiménez is a biologist and marine social-ecological systems researcher. She uses both quantitative and qualitative methods to examine the interactions between ecological and socioeconomic elements in coastal marine areas. Her work emphasizes equitable nature-based solutions, future scenario development, and food and nutrition security with a focus on plural values and gender inclusion.
