Kaylie is an MA student supervised by Dr. Brian Thom. She is working with the Tla’amin First Nation as part of the Canada Case Study to investigate pathways for improving food security for Tla’amin community members. Her research connects directly to Tla’amin’s self-governance goal 19, which aims to link modern-day treaty implementation with community food security needs to increase access to traditional and first foods.
