Solving-FCB: Team Overview

The Solving-FCB Partnership brings together a diverse cohort of over 601 individuals representing 26 unique institutions across 11 countries and five continents.

The Partnership features a strong Canadian presence, led by the University of British Columbia and the Tla’amin Nation, alongside contributions from the University of Victoria, uOttawa, and federal bodies like Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO). The project also features a powerful West African contingency, with nearly 20 representatives from Nigeria (University of Lagos and Lagos State University) and Ghana (University of Cape Coast, GIMPA, and the University of Energy & Natural Resources). Global perspectives are further rounded out by expertise from Costa Rica (University of Costa Rica and MARVIVA), South Africa (University of the Witwatersrand), the Netherlands (Wageningen University and PBL), and China (Xiamen and Shanghai Jiao Tong Universities), as well as academic and policy leaders from Switzerland, France, and Sweden. Rounding out the group are specialists from prominent international NGOs and intergovernmental organizations, including the Environmental Defense Fund, CGIAR, Conservation International, and the African Development Bank Group.
