The Synthesis working group brings together methods, decision support, and cross-cutting synthesis so the Partnership can compare case studies, integrate results, and turn them into policy-relevant insights at regional and global scales.
Methods
Section titled “Methods”The Solving-FCB Partnership develops and applies shared methods and tools across case studies to enable comparison, integration and synthesis of findings.
Methods work supports the five regional case studies (Canada, China, Costa Rica, West Africa, and the Netherlands) and cross-cutting themes including scenarios, modelling and decision support. It focuses on approaches that can be applied consistently across contexts while remaining adaptable to local priorities and data.
Decision support framework
Section titled “Decision support framework”The Decision Support Framework (DSF) work stream develops tools and approaches to help decision-makers compare options and assess trade-offs across the food–climate–biodiversity nexus.
DSF activities support case study teams and partners in structuring decisions, exploring scenarios and evaluating pathways towards desirable futures. The work links modelling, participatory methods and policy analysis.
Cross-cutting synthesis
Section titled “Cross-cutting synthesis”Synthesis activities integrate findings from the Partnership’s case studies and thematic work to identify cross-cutting lessons, trade-offs and pathways for the food–climate–biodiversity nexus.
Synthesis draws on results from Canada, China, Costa Rica, West Africa, and the Netherlands, as well as methods, scenarios and decision-support work, to produce policy-relevant insights and scholarly outputs at regional and global scales.
