Wisdom Akpalu is a Professor of Economics and Dean of the School of Research and Graduate Studies at GIMPA. He earned his Ph.D. from Gothenburg University, Sweden. He is Director of EfD-Ghana, funded by Sida, and collaborates with several international bodies including One Ocean Hub and MSC. He previously held academic roles in the U.S. and at UNU-WIDER. Since 2013, he has served as a resource person for AERC and was the inaugural president of AFAERE. His work spans environmental economics, marine ecosystems, and climate change.
